This Privacy Policy applies to the Pinterest Moodboard Exporter Chrome Extension (hereinafter referred to as "the Extension"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that your data remains absolutely secure.

1. Data Collection

The Extension primarily operates locally within your web browser. We do not collect your personal information or browsing history. However, for users who purchase a Premium License, we collect the following:

  • License Key: If you input a premium license key, we collect this key solely to verify your subscription status.
  • Images & Content: The Extension temporarily reads image URLs from the active Pinterest board you are viewing to generate the moodboard layout. This information is strictly processed locally on your device and is never collected by us or sent to any external servers.

2. Data Handling

All image handling, layout generation, and image processing happens exclusively and locally on your device. The only data transmitted over the internet is your License Key, which is sent securely to our payment provider via HTTPS to validate your active subscription.

3. Data Storage

We do not store any user data on our own external servers.

  • User Preferences, Free Trial & License Key: Your selected layout/print preferences and premium license key are stored locally on your device (chrome.storage.local). Additionally, your free trial export counter is synced securely across your devices using Google's built-in browser sync (chrome.storage.sync). This synced data is handled entirely by your Google account, and we do not have access to it on any external developer servers.

4. Data Sharing

All parties the user data will be shared with: Gumroad.

If you use a premium license, your License Key is shared securely with Gumroad (our payment and licensing provider) exclusively to verify your purchase. We do not share any other user data with any third parties. Your data is never sold, rented, or shared with any advertising networks, data brokers, or any other external entities.

5. Local Permissions Explained

To function correctly, the Extension requests certain standard browser permissions:

  • activeTab: Allows the Extension to verify you are on a compatible Pinterest board before extracting images.
  • scripting: Enables the Extension to run its image-gathering script only when you click the "Extract Images" button.
  • storage: Used to keep your preferred layout settings saved locally on your computer.
  • Host Permissions (*.pinterest.com, *.pinimg.com): Required to read the image structures on the board page and safely fetch high-resolution originals for the printable layout without triggering browser security (CORS) errors.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time if the functionality of the Extension changes and requires new permissions. Any updates will be reflected on this page with a revised "Effective Date".
